This collaborative exhibition by Oakland artists Courtney Knight and Jack Graydon guides us through learning a new language in their debut show as partners, How to Talk to Space People.

This deeply personal and at times playful show is rooted in observational drawing, and explores what happens when themes from animation, ancient mythology, and iconography meet wood, ceramic, and paint. When their classically trained techniques meet the expressions of dreamscape, new collective consciousness unfolds throughout the show, taking us through visions from altered states. Did we see that right, or are we just high?
