Digital Detoxing Lecture by Dr. Angie Vo

In this era of mass surveillance, billionaires profiting off of AI, and constant information access at your fingertips, it is vital that we evaluate the technologies that we use and go through a "detox" of sorts. This is to not only protect ourselves, but also unplug to recharge and heal ourselves before supporting our community again.

In this workshop, Dr. Angie Vo will be touching on concepts of mass surveillance, technofascism, and cybersecurity for us to lay a critical media theory foundation. Then, we will do some cybersecurity housekeeping and look at some phone settings/app changes we can make to protect our data. Come with us as we learn and gain tools to take care of ourselves digitally!
