Description

Get into deeper support with this Yoga Nidra and Thai Bodywork offering.
Here we will focus on ease-filled expansion through allowing the body to rest the nervous and supportive systems. Light touch (with consent) will be applied through practice to support your body, lumbar spine, and flexion- to lean into deeper lengthening.

This is considered a somatic class—a journey into the wisdom and potential of your own body. But what does "somatic" mean, exactly? Derived from the Greek word soma, meaning body, somatics is rooted in the belief that we possess innate intuition and knowledge that can be expanded upon. This knowledge is accessed through deep listening to our bodies and nervous systems and letting them act as our trustworthy guides. It is a practice that encourages profound self-awareness and patience.

As your somatic guide, Diamond will facilitate this movement experience by posing thoughtful questions and creating openings for you to explore movement beyond its conventional definition as mere exercise. Instead, movement becomes an exploration of life itself—an opportunity to cultivate autonomy and embrace endless possibilities.

Throughout this class, we will support you in navigating the full spectrum of human experience—the weight, the joy, and the exhilaration of the new. Here, you will embark on a journey to explore the profound connection between your ego and gut, bridging the realms of feeling and knowing.

Join us as we embark on this transformative journey together.

As you step onto the mat, your body will naturally guide the movement, putting its needs at the forefront of your practice. This is an opportunity to attend to the wisdom that resides within you, allowing it to guide and inform your every motion. Together, we will create a space where your body can find its own authentic expression, free from external expectations.

Prepare to embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and embodied awareness.

To ensure you have a comfortable and fulfilling experience in this class, we kindly request that you bring a few items:

  • Please remember to bring your yoga mat, which will serve as your foundation for the practice.
  • If you prefer additional support or variations in certain poses, you may also consider bringing yoga blocks (optional) and small blankets (optional, recommended for those with sensitive knees, arms, or joints).
  • In order to stay hydrated throughout the session, we encourage you to bring a water bottle. It's essential to listen to your body's needs and maintain proper hydration as you move and breathe. We will provide a water refill station on site.
  • To optimize your movement and breath, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows for unrestricted mobility. Choose attire that supports your ease of movement, enabling you to fully engage in the practice.
